"This is ridiculous. It's crazy. I feel like I'm babysitting, except I'm not getting paid."

Old-fashioned yarn about a band of adventurous kids who take on the might of a property developing company which plans to destroy their home to build a country club. When the children discover an old pirate map in the attic, they follow it into an underground cavern in search of lost treasure but come up against plenty of dangerous obstacles along the way.
THE MENU
Pepperoni Pizza, Lighthouse Lounge Water, Rich Stuff Chips-n-Dip & Willies Treasured Rocky Road
Pepperoni Pizza: Pizza was mentioned and shown several times through out the movie. In the beginning with Chunk, the Fratelli brothers almost got in a fight over it and then in the end with Chunk again, it was his favorite, the Domino’s brand specifically.
Lighthouse Lounge Water: The boys go into an abandon restaurant while looking for the gold, they run into the Fratelli's and ask for water but end up getting something that looks more like ice tea?
Rich Stuff Chips-n-Dip: In the beginning of the movie when all the boys are over Mikey’s house they are eating chips. I added the map dip because this is when they also find the map to the rich stuff. I used a red bell pepper, black olives, and broccoli.
Willies Treasured Rocky Road: Most of this menu is inspired by Chunk since it was him who was either talking about or actually eating food throughout the movie. He and Sloth raid a freezer and pig out on some ice cream, Rocky Road specifically. I of course had to add some treasure to this dessert so I threw in some chocolate gold coins and ring pop gummies.
Whip Cream Activity: There is a scene in the moovie when Chunk says he's depressed and fills his mouth full of whip cream from his friends refrigerator. I thought I would be fun to have a game going on for the kids during the movie. Every time chunk is eating or talks about food you need to yell "Goonies never die!" and you get a mouthful of whip cream.
The kids really enjoyed this and I was surprised on how many times they missed on these sugar bomb opportunities.
Q&A with the kids
1. If you went on an adventure to hunt for treasure what 5 friends or family would you take with you?
2. What would your adventure look like? Where would you have to go? What would you be hunting?
3. Out of all the characters who would you most likely be friends with? Why?
