After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani and their new friend, Allison. We will start the night with a small ride through your palette on an enchanted broom stick. Followed by a witches brew made of little children. We toast to the full moon with a black cat potion and end the night as we devour a deliciously evil spell-book! Brahhhhh hhhhaaaaa haaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaa!

Witches Brew Stew: So, obviously this movie is about a coven of witches and any self respecting witch will have something brewing in her home so what better then a hearty beef stew. The cool part of this dish is that it really looks like it's made of little children, at least once you add the eyeballs made of a mix of jasmine and sushi rice, topped with a black olive slice. My kids did not want to touch this dish unfortunately, they thought it was too gross! but my husband and I very much enjoyed it! You can find the recipe at cookingclassy.com.
Alt: For an easier and or vegetarian option make a yellow cheddar mac and cheese from scratch or from the box. You can top these off with the same pretzel sticks and chive wrapping from the brooms to make it look like a pumpkin.
Black Cat Potion: There is a special black cat in this movie that helps the kids fight these evil witches so I wanted to add him to the menu somehow. I saw this drink called Black Lemonade and thought it was just so cool looking. The lemon garnish even reminded me of the full moon so I thought this was perfect! Yes it's actually black lemonade and no not from black lemons from activated charcoal powder. Before moving forward with this you can get a quick lesson here on what this is and if its safe for you and your kids.
Alt: There are many dark drinks out there to use as an alternate. Try a black cherry coke or a sangria soda for example.
Deliciously Evil Spell-book: There is an evil spell-book made out of human skin that the witches depend on to keep them young and immortal. Fortunately someone already thought of a sweeter version of this book using chocolate to cover it instead of skin. There are many version of this sweet treat out there but for me this was the easiest with the best outcome. If you want to shorten your time buy the rice krispies instead of making them yourself.
